Striped Cotton Towels: Choosing Bath and Face Towel Sizes and Stripes

WENSHUO towels are made from 100% combed cotton in two sizes: a 34 × 75 cm face towel and a 70 × 140 cm bath towel. What sets them apart is the stripe: fine lines on a white ground, fine lines on a solid colour, a solid edge, or broad blocks of colour. This guide sets out the sizes, the stripe styles and how to care for them.

Face towel or bath towel?

The face towel (34 × 75 cm) is the everyday size for drying your hands and face at the basin, and it is easy to pack for the gym or a trip. The bath towel (70 × 140 cm) is large enough to wrap around you after a bath or shower.

A simple starting point is one bath towel and one face towel per person, plus a second set so one can be in the wash. In each series the face towel and bath towel are sold as separate options, so you can choose only the size you need.

Choosing a stripe

Fine stripes on white. The Black & White Striped Towel has thin black lines on a warm white ground. It is the quietest of the range and works with almost any bathroom.

Fine stripes on colour. The Stripe Colorful Cotton Bath Towel comes in four colourways, each a solid ground with fine lines in a second colour. The Caramel Stripes Towel pairs a warm caramel ground with thin blue lines, in both face and bath sizes.

A solid edge. The ColorBlock Stripe Towel has fine blue lines on a pale blue ground, finished with a solid green edge.

Broad stripes. The Blend Stripe Towel combines wide bands with thinner lines and a coloured edge, in Caramel-Green or Purple-Green. It is the boldest pattern in the range.

Matching towels in one bathroom

One pattern throughout. Choose the face towel and bath towel in the same colourway for a coordinated set.
One colourway per person. Giving each person a different colour makes it easy to tell whose towel is whose.
Fine with broad. A fine-striped bath towel with a broad-striped face towel works well when they share a colour, such as green.

The Stripe Quick-Dry Hair Cap

For long or thick hair, the Stripe Quick-Dry Hair Cap is a cotton terry wrap with fine ivory stripes, in Dark Green or Deep Blue. It measures 57 × 25 cm and fastens with a small button at the back, so it stays in place while you get ready.

Washing and care

Machine wash at up to 40°C. Wash darker colourways separately for the first few washes.
Skip fabric softener. It coats the cotton loops and makes the towel less absorbent.
Tumble dry on low, or hang to dry. Shake the towel out before drying to lift the pile.
Dry between uses. Hang towels open rather than folded so they dry fully.
